Ludo Ludamus Redux

Written for the Ligeti Quartet as part of the Open Circuit Festival in Liverpool, this piece is a development of an installation/sound art piece written in 2012. The quartet respond to footage of a board game (Ludo) whose gameplay dictates the material they play. Fast responses to on-screen events score the quartet points and therefore creates structure to the musical development of the piece.
